I'd say that Hamm was one of the best Premiers we had. He stopped funding to float Sydney Steel and Devco (although his workers compensation following that move was lacking), he introduced balance budget legislation and ushered in an era of balanced budgets, he privatized various Crown corps and downsized (in small ways) the public sector. I'm not saying hes the gold standard, but hes the best that I can think of out of the last 40 years.

The Progressive Conservative Party of Nova Scotia has confirmed that Jamie Baillie will become the party’s next leader at a leadership convention scheduled October 29-30 in Halifax.
